5 Workouts To Keep You Fit

Regular exercise is crucial for maintaining a healthy and active body. Neglecting to exercise can cause our bodies to deteriorate like an unused machine. However, it doesn’t necessarily require intense workouts; even light and consistent exercise can keep our bodies refreshed and alert.

Here are five exercises that can help keep your body in shape:

  1. Lunges: This exercise is ideal for toning the lower body. With or without dumbbells, maintain an upright posture with your chin up, and step forward with one leg while bending the other behind it. The front knee should be at a 90-degree angle while the back leg remains straight. Repeat this motion 8-12 times.
  2. Squats: No equipment is required for squats, and they can be done anywhere, including your office. Stand with your feet apart, relax your shoulders, and slowly bend your knees as if you’re sitting on an imaginary chair. Hold this position for a few seconds before returning to a standing position. Repeat as necessary.
  3. Planks: This exercise strengthens the torso and improves spinal stability, reducing back pain. Start by getting into a push-up position, lowering your body to the ground with your elbows bent at a 90-degree angle. Keep your heels on the ground and your body straight. Start with a few seconds and gradually increase the duration.
  4. Cardio: Exercising outdoors in the fresh air without pollution or crowds is ideal. Sprinting and skipping for 20 to 40 minutes can help control the body’s calorie intake and boost metabolism.
  5. Judo Pushup: This exercise is a more advanced version of pushups, aiding in fat reduction and muscle building. Start by assuming a push-up position with your legs hip-width apart. Raise your hips while lowering your head toward the ground, forming an upside-down V. Touch the floor with your head and then lower your hips as your head moves upward. Repeat several times.
